Push up collaborating and developing the UAE labor market

Vietnam has begun exporting labors to UAE since 2000. Now, there are about 8.000 employees working in UAE with some main job categories such as security guards, construction, engineering, shipbuilding, hotel service, supermarket, salon.

The average income of workers fluctuates between 400-450 USD per month for general labors and about 500-600 USD/month for skilled labors. From the end of 2009, the two sides cooperated to put Vietnamese security guards into working in UAE. There are more than 3.900 security guards working in UAE. Their incomes are stable at 600 USD per month and having good accommodation.


 Vietnam and UAE has signed the Memorandum of human resources cooperation in February, 2009. In the framework of this memorandum and as degreed at the first session of the Intergovernmental Committee of Viet Nam, two partners have established the Joint Committee on Labor Cooperation. The committee conducted the first session in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in December, 2010.

From 15th to 20th February, 2014, with an aim to promote and develop UAE market, The Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Hoa, leading the delegation of the Ministry of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs, had a visit and worked in UAE. The delegation had a meeting with Dubai Economic Department, the leader of IGG Group, directly under ABU Dhabi Royal Government and Amala Labor Group. 


During this visit, being authorized by The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, The Department of Overseas Labour has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on recruiting working in UAE with Amala Labor Group – an enterprises under the UAE Ministry of Home Affairs- having demand for importing foreign workers in large number of server for construction projects of infrastructure in UAE.


This MOU is a framework agreement, creating the basis for Vietnam Enterprises signing specific labor supplying contract with Amala Labor and opening the new prospect for exporting Vietnamese workers to UAE- a potential market in the Middle East in the process of recovering after economic crisis, with many large projects.
