There was a woodcutter applying a job to the master - a wealthy merchant. Seeing his healthy, enthusiasm, the businessman has recommended him with the manager. The manager immediately gave him an axe, led him into the forest and said:

- You tried to cut down this tree for me.

He used to do this before so he cut down very quickly. The manager hired him for the job, gave him salary and shelter. He felt tired but very happy, because in weekend he could send to his home some money.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday passed. On Thursday, the manager called him out to thank and gave him a week wages. He happily held the paper earned by his sweat, and his eyes radiant with joy.

Suddenly realized that something unusual, he asked the manager:

- I am very thankful for being paid. Why don’t you wait until Saturday but pay me today.

- Unfortunately I cannot hire you anymore, because according to the records, the number of trees you cut down is highest on Monday, but Tuesday the number deteriorates and on Wednesday the trees you cut down are the worst in all of the workers here.

- But sir, I have done my best. I went to work early and went home when it was late. I had a lunch break for half hour instead of an hour. I worked constantly. I worked in all the breaks. What else do you want?

- What you said is not wrong at all, I applaud your enthusiasm. But I'm sorry, I'm just interested in your efficiency.

The woodcutter was sad because he thought his health was reduced. He also did not know what to do to support his family, coming to his master to sorry for not doing as expected and wondered what was happening to him.

- "Have you ever sharpened your axe?" - The merchant asked

- "Sharpening the blade? I've spent most of my time to cut down trees without notice to sharpen it '" - he woodcutter replied sadly.

- "Just go home and remember to grind the axe and then go back to work tomorrow, I believe a person like you could do a good job” – He said confidently.

He woodcutter thanked his master and happily returned home.

It is not only the time to recovery but also to evaluate yourself. You should give more attention to human resources policies, try to change your out dated , recruitment channels to receive a positive result.

Employees of the company are the weapons helping businesses sustainable and stable development.
