Therefore, the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity has drafted an introduction to the insurance system and sent it to the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and hopes to receive an introduction to Vietnam's Social Insurance Law in return to consider the possibility of cooperation between the two countries.

"Order" human resources

Agreeing and appreciating the opinions of Ambassador Cristina Romila, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung emphasized that the general cooperation between Vietnam and Romania in recent years has developed well in the fields of diplomacy, socio-economics, labor and employment...

The Minister said that through his contacts with Vietnamese workers in Romania, he received very positive feedback, especially the state's attention to workers.

According to Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, there are currently about 2,600 Vietnamese workers working in Romania. The basic salary of workers ranges from 650-1,000 USD/month (not including overtime pay).

Vietnamese workers working in Romania under contracts signed between businesses of the two countries are entitled to two types of insurance: health insurance and work accident insurance.

The Minister also appreciated Romanian authorities in protecting the rights of Vietnamese workers working in this country.

He cited that in the 2020-2021 period, when the Covid-19 pandemic became complicated and many factories had to reduce production, Romanian authorities always paid attention, supervised and supported businesses receiving Vietnamese workers, ensuring wages and income for workers.

Sharing more with Ambassador Cristina Romila, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that Vietnam is a developing country with a highly open and dynamic economy, based on available potentials and international cooperation.

Ambassador Cristina Romila highly appreciated Vietnamese human resources

Vietnam is currently focusing on three strategic breakthroughs during the 13th National Congress term, which are institutional breakthroughs, infrastructure breakthroughs and human resource development, especially high-quality human resources.

"We are in the golden population period. With a population of more than 100 million, Vietnam has 56 million people of working age. This is a huge advantage.

In the coming time, we will take advantage of this advantage, focus on training, education, and improving the quality of human resources. Vietnam also updates the trend, focusing on training some new professions such as human resources for semiconductor chips, hydrogen, and carbon credit human resources.

Vietnam strives to become a labor search destination for many countries in need of human resources in the semiconductor industry," the Minister emphasized.

The Minister said that currently, many countries "order" Vietnam to provide a large amount of human resources.

Regarding the memorandum of understanding between the two countries, the head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs assigned the Ministry's specialized agencies to research and discuss with the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity to soon realize the signed contents.

"We must work together to study mechanisms to ensure the rights of workers of the two countries, especially in terms of social insurance, health insurance, and elderly care," said Minister Dao Ngoc Dung.
