On 15th December, in the framework of his first official visit to United Arab Emirates( UAE), Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended Vietnam- UAE businesses forum along with leaders of UAE Ministries, Ambassadors and hundreds of businesses in various sectors of the two countries.
Speaking at the forum, The Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the relations between Vietnam- UAE in recent years in the fields of politics diplomacy, economic and culture
In the field of trading and investment, UAE is one of the largest economic partners of Viet Nam in the Middle East and North Africa. Two-way turnover in 2013 reached 4.46 billion dollars, increased 80% compared with 2012 and over 63 times with 2012. This is the positive sign for the relation of two countries.
Up to November 2014, UAE investors had 8 investment projects in Viet Nam with the total capital of 135 million USD. Up to now, many of leading UAE corporations such as DP World, IPIC, Emirates Investment Gate, Dubai Holding.. have focused on investing in Viet Nam.
Standing on our own part, Viet Nam has also exported 8.000 workers to work in UAE and expected to rise to 20.000 workers in the coming years.
Deputy Prime Minister also wishes that both of businesses in two countries strengthened understanding, seized opportunities for this investment business and trusted for the development of Vietnam-UAE relations because we had already built trust on politics and supplement strengths each other for mutual development.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, the event “Vietnam these days”, which was organized for the collaboration between Vietnam and the government of UAE on multi sectors and cultural exchanges. This was also an important cultural event followed the success of Viet Nam Festival held in Abu Dahbi in November , 2013 for the 20th years anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
In the evening of 15th December, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited and talked with the Ambassador of Viet Nam in UAE and Vietnam communities living in UAE.
