In the first quarter of 2022, when the labor export market showed many signs of improvement, Vietnam sent nearly 2,500 workers to work abroad under contracts. In which, the total number of laborers going to work abroad in March 2022 is 1,096 people, mainly concentrated in the markets of Japan, Taiwan (China), Singapore, Hungary, China...

To prepare for the activities of sending workers to work abroad when reopening, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has regularly discussed and coordinated closely with relevant agencies of countries and territories receive for appropriate direction and guidance.
Towards a sustainable labor export market
In 2022, besides the traditional markets of Japan, Taiwan (China), Korea..., the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to promote the signing of agreements on labor cooperation with other countries to expanding foreign labor markets such as Germany, Russia, Australia (agricultural visa program), Israel and some other European markets. Currently, enterprises are coordinating with foreign partners to implement signed and registered labor supply contracts.
Most recently, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australia) signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of the two countries on supporting Vietnamese citizens to participate in the agricultural labor program in Australia.
Along with new markets, traditional markets are also focused. In early 2022, Vietnam and Malaysia also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on recruitment, employment and labor repatriation. This Memorandum of Understanding is a continuation of the first memorandum of understanding on recruitment of Vietnamese workers signed by the two governments in December 2003. Since then, more than 100,000 Vietnamese workers have come to work in Malaysia.
