Make a list of suitable questions
After carefully reviewing the candidate's profile, you will shape specific questions for them. On the other hand, your questions will help uncover more information about them that you did not know when reading the CV. For experienced candidates, you should focus only on situational and behavioral types of questions, such as:
“What was the most difficult time for you?”
An experienced candidate will tell you about a job that has been difficult for a while and how they managed to solve it. This question shows you their problem-solving and problem-solving skills and assesses their future capabilities. Their successes will be a plus point for future work.
“Why should we hire you for this position?”
With an experienced person, they will know how to use their skills, expertise, and vision to solve this situation. They will use their own worth to show you they deserve the position.
“What would you do if you could start your career again?”
This is a question that will help you understand if the candidate is determined to succeed or simply wants a safe position. This helps you see if the candidate wants to challenge himself further or falters in the face of past mistakes.
In addition, you should also ask them to explain their decisions, so that they can share their future intentions and ambitions, from which you can assess whether they are a good person or not. Is the candidate suitable for the company?
“What do you want in the workplace?”
With an experienced person, they will dare to openly express their expectations for a place where they can grow, can advance, and expect to receive the benefits worthy of their efforts. Based on those candid shares, you will assess whether they are suitable for the company or not.
Group interviews are recommended
If conditions allow, you should invite some relevant people to participate in the interview so that you can evaluate the candidate more objectively and thoroughly. In addition to the direct management level and the representative of the human resources department, you should invite another employee to work in the same department with the candidate later.
Share with candidates
Share with them your work experience and what it was like to work here. Explain to them what you love about working here or what aspects you feel are not satisfied. This gives candidates a deeper understanding of the company and if they are hired they will feel a better fit and understand the company culture better.
